Liver and Gallbaldder Meridians

The liver is the planner, the leader and the gallbladder is the decision maker. An imbalance may be indicated by an inability to think, plan or do anything.

Eye sight and balance are affected by this Meridian. Feeling angry and irritable for no apparent reason or unable to express anger are signs of imbalance. The tone of voice is forceful. Feelings of panic and desperation can be symptoms. Muscles and tendons are ruled by Liver gallbladder and nails may indicate an imbalance in the energy eg. split, peeling, cracking.

Note: The Chinese believe the liver is the dwelling place of the spirit.

The Gallbladder Merdian

The Gallbladder Meridian is traditionally asociated with the gallbladder. Neck back and shoulder pain are often attributed to energy blocks in this meridian.

The Gallbladder Meridian begins at the outside corner of the eye, zigzags over the sides of the skull down the back of the neck over the shoulders to the front of the body, zigzags across the chest and sides of the trunk and then down across the hips thighs and sides of the legs ending at the joint of the fourth toe.

Muscular weakness, strength and flexibility of tendons and ligaments are affected by Gallbladder. Migraine headaches are traditionally associated with gallbladder.
